HOW YOU CAN HELP

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

• During the heating season, WoodShare is always looking for more participation processing and delivering wood!
• During the spring, summer and fall, Harvest the North needs volunteers to build and maintain community gardens throughout
Bancroft and North Hastings
• We also anticipate new opportunities for volunteers in the finishing or our new building, and in new programs we hope to launch out of the new location.

STUFF WE NEED:

ROCK (Rural Outreach Community Kindness) needs hygiene items, snacks, hats and mitts in the winter…and messages of hope and kindness to share all year ‘round.
Harvest The North needs seeds, seedlings, and gardening tools, including a new water pump.
Food Share is always looking for food donations–dried, canned, frozen, fresh.

FUTURE OPPORTUNITIES:

Mental Health Support – We are building our capacity to improve the mental health of our community including ourselves and would
love you to be involved. We're excited for your ideas and inspirations. We are also welcoming dollars to seed a program that
will build on some of the mental health supports we already provide.
Housing - As our area and the whole country faces a crisis of affordable and emergency housing, we’re exploring a community-based approach that may offer exciting opportunities for people to donate time, skills, material resources and financial support. Stay tuned.
And more…! Greenhouses, anyone? Aquaponics? A tool Library?

FINANCIAL SUPPORT…

We are mostly funded by community donations. Thank you!

To support the Trust financially, click the “Support the Trust” button at the top right. Donations are tax deductible.

Monthly donations of all sizes really make a difference. Monthly support strengthens our foundation and pays for staffing and operations. Costs will be higher in our new building, but we’ll be able to do so much more. Thank you for your growing support!

Perhaps you might even be in a position to donate a large sum just one time to make one
of these dreams happen! If so, drop by and talk to us.

Thank you to the United Way Hastings & Prince Edward
for supporting the Trust over many years and being part
of our growth and vision. Thank you to all the
organizations in North Hastings and beyond working to
build healthy communities. A big thank you to SIRCH for
the meals! And thank you to all of you who make
donations. You make it possible for us to really be a
community-based organization.
